NYCC 2019: The CW, Hulu, and Netflix Announce Panel Line-Ups


The New York Comic-Con 2019 panel line-ups have started rolling in and boy, there’s a wealth of goodness in this first few days worth of announcements. Hulu and Netflix are the first of the streamers to announce their panels into addition to Warner Bros.’ Home Entertainment division and WarnerMedia, who will be presenting panels based on shows from their TBS, TNT, and truTV channels.
Among the exciting slate of panels that we know about so far are presentations for The CW, which includes exclusive presentations for Black Lightning, Katy Keene, and Legacies. There are also streamers Hulu and Netflix, who are bringing some big shows to NYCC this year like Castle Rock and Big Mouth. Among the Castle Rock panel highlights is a screening of the season 2 premiere which will be followed up by a discussion featuring the season’s new cast members including Lizzy Caplan, Elsie Fisher, and Tim Robbins. Meanwhile, Big Mouth‘s third season is on the horizon, so it’s no surprise Netflix wants to liven things up with a panel on it at NYCC. Attendees can expect what will no doubt be the liveliest panel discussion with series creator and star Nick Kroll and additional cast members. Dare we hope John Mulaney, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, and Jessi Klein make an appearance? Either way, these panels — in addition to the others announced — sound like a whole heck of a lot of fun. And this is just the first wave of announcements, too. Who knows what panels will be confirmed next!
The convention fun kicks off on Thursday, October 3 and runs through Sunday, October 6 at the Javits Center in New York City.  Below is the complete list (so far!) of the panels coming to NYCC 2019:

DC Universe



Harley Quinn: Sunday, October 6, 1:05-1:30 p.m. ET (Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden)
Description: Catch an early look at Harley Quinn, the upcoming adult animated action-comedy series coming soon to DC Universe. Harley Quinn puts everyone’s favorite Gotham villainess front and center as Harley has finally broken things off with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City.

Riverdale: Sunday, October 6, 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET (Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden)
Description: Now that the Gargoyle King has been revealed, The Black Hood is dead and Hiram is in jail, can Archie and the gang have a normal senior year? Riverdale returns for its second appearance at New York Comic-Con to discuss the new mysteries of season four, including the shocking finale flash forward and what it means for Jughead and the others. Based on the characters from Archie Comics and produced by Berlanti Productions (The Flash, Supergirl, Blindspot, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, this one-hour drama is a bold, subversive take on the surreality of small-town life.
Join us for a special video presentation followed by a Q&A with series stars Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Mark Consuelos, and Skeet Ulrich, plus executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Riverdale returns for season 4 on October 9, airing Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW. Riverdale: The Complete Third Season is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
Roswell, New Mexico: Sunday, October 6, 12:10-1:00 p.m. ET (Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden)
Description: Following the shocking season one finale where Max used his powers to resurrect Rosa while not realizing that he was sacrificing his own life in the process, join the Roswell, New Mexico team as they return for a second appearance at New York Comic Con! In season 2, Liz mourns her lost love by seeking comfort in science, both earthly and extraterrestrial, as Rosa turns to Kyle to help her find her place in the unfamiliar territory of 2019. In their grief, Isobel explores potentially dangerous methods of self-defense, and Michael spirals into some old bad habits, putting his relationships with Maria and Alex at risk.

Batwoman: Sunday, October 6, 1:35-2:45 p.m. ET (Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden)
Description: Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.
Join cast and producers for a screening of the pilot, followed by a Q&A. Batman Beyond 20th Anniversary: Sunday, October 6, 1:45-2:45 p.m. ET
Description: Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Batman Beyond won two Emmy Awards and three Annie Awards as it captured the imaginations of a new generation of Batman fans, setting new standards for superhero storytelling with innovative designs, outstanding voice acting and an intriguing approach to DC’s iconic characters and stories. The series also spawned an acclaimed animated film, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

Daybreak (Exclusive World Premiere): Friday, October 4, 6:45-8:15 p.m. ET (Javits Center, Room 1A06)
Description: High school isn’t the end of the world… until it is. In Daybreak, a post-apocalyptic, genre-bending series, the city of Glendale, California is populated by marauding gangs of jocks, gamers, the 4-H Club, and other fearsome tribes who are kicking a** as they fight to survive in the wake of a nuclear blast (on the night of homecoming…ugh). Following an eclectic group of survivors, as they navigate this strange and treacherous world, Daybreak is part samurai saga, part endearing coming-of-age story, and part Battle Royale. Now, four years later, she is excited to return to NYCC with a panel that will tease next year’s biggest blockbuster yet: “Election 2020.” Full Frontal airs Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on TBS.
